The Ozarks Film Foundry, the 501(c)3 nonprofit for professional cinema arts and film production in the Ozarks, is hosting the first-ever OZARKS FILM SUMMIT & FILMMAKERS SHOWCASE at SPRINGFIELD SOUNDSTAGE in Springfield at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20.
This summit gathers under one roof all persons and companies who currently work with, or might want to work with producers of motion picture, television, or new media in the Ozarks. The event is designed to provide area leaders, creators, and businesses with an opportunity to form new and enduring relationships and partnerships.
Foundry Executive Director John Farmer de la Torre along with Greene County Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon and the Missouri Film Office will present an update regarding the formation of the Ozarks Film Commission to represent the region; and the Missouri film production incentive made possible by the 2023 SHOW MO Act.
