Lights, Camera, Ozarks! The Southwest Missouri Film Office is Open

We have some exciting news to share and you’re a big part of the reason it’s happening!

The Ozarks Film Foundry has teamed up with the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG) to officially launch The Southwest Missouri Film Office, the new home base for film, television, and digital media production across our 10-county region.

The ten counties we serve: Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Lawrence, Polk, Stone, Taney, and Webster, will now benefit from coordinated marketing efforts and greater visibility on the national and even international stage. That means more opportunities to share the unique beauty, history, and stories of the Ozarks with the world.

This is a huge milestone for our community. The Southwest Missouri Film Office will be the go-to place for filmmakers, studios, and location scouts looking to bring their projects to our corner of the world. From helping productions secure permits to connecting them with local talent, businesses, and beautiful filming locations, we’ll be opening doors for new jobs, tourism, and small business growth throughout the Ozarks.

As I’ve said before, our goal is simple: make Southwest Missouri a thriving hub for creative industries. And with this partnership, we’re one big step closer.

We couldn’t have gotten here without the support, encouragement, and passion of our friends and supporters. The creative economy is already a major force in the U.S., and now, we have the chance to make sure Southwest Missouri is part of that story in a big way.
